The refreshed Brezza arrives with a more assertive exterior, plush cabin amenities, and technology typically found in higher segments – signaling Maruti’s intention to reposition this volume-seller as a more aspirational product.

The most immediately apparent change is the Brezza’s extensively reworked exterior.

The front fascia features a wider, more prominent grille with intricate chrome detailing that extends into the redesigned LED projector headlamps.

“We wanted to create something with genuine road presence,” explains Takuya Hashimoto, Chief Designer at Maruti Suzuki.

“The Brezza customer has evolved, and so has their expectation. Today’s buyer wants their vehicle to make a statement, not merely provide transportation.”

The profile reveals more pronounced wheel arches housing newly designed 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while strong character lines create interplays of light and shadow that add visual dynamism.

The floating roof design with contrast color options further enhances the premium aesthetic, allowing for personalization that was previously unavailable.

At the rear, connected LED taillamps span the tailgate, creating a wider visual impression while incorporating distinctive light elements that ensure the Brezza remains recognizable even at night.

A redesigned bumper with silver skid plate adds a touch of ruggedness without compromising the overall sophisticated appearance.

The interior transformation proves even more dramatic, with materials and features that challenge preconceptions about Maruti Suzuki’s positioning.

The dashboard adopts a layered design with soft-touch materials, contrast stitching, and tasteful applications of piano black and brushed aluminum accents.

The centerpiece is a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

This system controls the new Arkamys-tuned audio setup, which includes six speakers carefully positioned for optimal sound staging.

“The difference in cabin ambiance is night and day compared to the outgoing model,” notes automotive journalist Vikram Mehta.

“The material quality, fit and finish, and attention to detail represent a genuine step up, not just for the Brezza but for the segment as a whole.”

Premium touches extend to ambient lighting with multiple customizable colors, leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching, ventilated front seats, and a wireless charging pad with cooling function – features previously unheard of in this vehicle class.

Beyond aesthetics, the Brezza now boasts a comprehensive feature list that would impress even in higher segments:

The engine produces 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, delivered through either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

The latter represents an upgrade from the previous 4-speed unit, providing more refined highway cruising and better response during overtaking maneuvers.

With prices ranging from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹13.96 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Brezza positions itself as a premium offering within the compact SUV segment.

While this represents an increase over the outgoing model, Maruti Suzuki believes the substantially upgraded design and feature set justify the repositioning.

“The compact SUV segment has matured significantly,” observes industry analyst Priya Sharma.

“Early adopters who purchased the original Brezza are now ready to upgrade, and they’re seeking more sophistication without necessarily moving to a larger vehicle. Maruti has calibrated this update to precisely meet that evolving demand.”

Initial market response appears to validate this strategy, with bookings exceeding 45,000 units within the first two weeks of launch.

Production capacity has been increased at Maruti’s manufacturing facility to meet this demand, with current waiting periods extending to 4-6 weeks depending on variant and color selection.
